This is exactly what the neocons did to our government. They overloaded its capacity to function and the people's ability to respond, by throwing everything including the kitchen sink at it from their wish list. They knew the court systems, etc. could not handle it.

Look, people are going to have to suffer some short term misery if we are going to effect change for our children. Granted this country has become so alienated from one another that consensus is difficult. But if it were to start in a few communities then it might become a model and catch on...spreading quickly. It's just a matter of showing people it CAN be done.
