62. My impression from reading the report
is that although some ACORN employees gave less than ethical answers, most did so because Mr. O'Keefe was very persuasive, claimed to be a law student and dressed the part. He convinced them that he was attempting to help these women get out from under their pimps, and start a new life. I may be wrong, but it seems that he preyed on their humanism, and their willingness to see moral shades of gray when a person's quality of life is at issue.
