NCPSSM (Nat'l Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare) VP and Acting CEO Max Richtman went to testify before a Senate Special Aging Committee yesterday on the importance of Older Americans' Act Programs i.e. Meals on Wheels, caregiver services, training for employment for seniors, etc.

GOP Senator Bob Corker took this opportunity to go completely off topic and attack Richtman and his organization for trying to protect these SS and Medicare from cuts and rant against NCPSSM's opposition to Corker's Spending Cap Bill (which would cut SS and Medicare).

Corker is an asshole but this is a pretty good indication of how worried the GOP is over people's reactions to their plans to abolish Medicare. They are just lashing out at anyone who criticizes them.
