11. It's rough living, eh?
I have a friend (lives about 3 hours away) that became unemployed early last summer and decided to move out of his apartment and live in his truck. He did this because he had money saved up, but didn't want to burn through it paying rent. So he saved his money moved out and started looking for work. He put down a close friends address on his Job Applications (friend was totally cool with it) and started looking for work. By the end of summer he eventually found work and used his saved money to get an apartment.

I mention this story because he said the thing he learned last summer was how difficult living out of his truck became, day after day after day. He said the first few days were a breeze, no big deal, that it was kind of interesting figuring out where to park, wash, etc. But after a few weeks it became tedious and stressful. You are always on guard, you don't know your surroundings.

Did you find living out of your car to be similar in experience to my friend's?
