Cops will say a dog alerts any time they want to just to have probable cause when a person refuses a search. Now, I do agree this slightly odd Pastor could never have seen anything sitting in his car with the windows rolled up.

I have seen several pushes in Georgia to force cops to video tape dog searches so that there is proof the dog alerted...This would prevent cops from just saying the dog alerted to circumvent the refusal to search. I have never heard of a single case where a person refuses a search, the dogs are called to the location and do not alert and the person was free to go...IT DOES NOT HAPPEN, EVER! And this is wrong! It does not matter what you do, at least in Georgia, if the cops ask to search your car and you refuse they will eventually search it...Depending on how you take having your rights violated will determine whether you end up getting your ass kicked, tazed, and taken to jail.

I would love to hear examples that goes against what I have said as I think this is a very bad problem. Just like when the US Supreme Court said it was unconstitutional to set up road blocks to look for drugs. So, most, if not all, states passed seat belt laws and began road blocks as "seat belt checks". However, you can bet your ass there will be multiple dogs at these "seat belt checks". Cops get around almost all of the rights you have at traffic stops. You do what they say regardless and you probably wont have a problem, if not, prepare to get tazed, car search, go to jail.

I would like to see more info on this case.
