1. A "coalition of the reasonable and courageous" would be welcome in the Senate.. Rep. & Dem. alike.
The senator is correct in stating that the Constitution as well as other important social institutions erected post WWII are in need of a renewal and re-dedication. I fear he is mistaken when he states that he "hopes not" to the question of persons in power today needing to face their own "war crimes trials." They will of course not face such war trials, we can but "hope" for a criminal trial. However we should "hope" for justice in any and all case.
