She's the only one I've heard explain this crisis from the bottom-up perspective. People have needed credit to live for years, not even two incomes are getting it done anymore. When people can't make ends meet without credit, then they'll be exploited with thousands of dollars of interest for a $500 payday loan. Add that to all of the rest of the credit markets, and it was only a matter of time before somebody figured out some way to trade on it.

She's the only one who I've seen who gets that.
