56. I lost my server job a few months ago
The dining room was eliminated from the service. I'm working at my other job making $8.50 an hour. I am barely making it. I miss my waitress job. I used to bring home about 4 times what I am making now.

I need to find another serving job but I can't stop long enough from my other job to risk taking a job that may or may not produce a survivable wage right up front. I have no leeway for down time. Every penny goes for rent and bills. Any upset in the routine could get me evicted.

While being a tipped employee, I did not expect a tip if my service was not good. But if I'm a kickass server, I would hope the customer would appreciate me.
