Our country and DU itself seriously lack a civic education. People yell from the gut without using reason or logic, they require ideological purity tests, they state "absolute facts" without verification. They have no idea what the end game is or how to get there.

They live in a fantasyland where all the world is beautiful and fair, there is no ugliness except the evil Bush Monster, cops and of course congress. A world where only this second matters, not the past 20 years....

It's sad. Since the school don't teach it, I teach my own children.

I wish there was a reality based civics test you had to pass before posting here. It sure would clean up my ignore list.
