I believe what you say is correct. If there is fault (in those two rich countries I referred to) it will be much less on the part of the, possibly not-so-well-off, consumer, and much more on the part of the economic system that sells them such crap.
Why do I smoke? I am addicted to nicotine. I smoke Spanish black tobacco (relatively pure, far fewer, as far as the available information tells me) additives. And I totally agree with not smoking around those who don't want to breathe air polluted in that manner. Especially not around children. Fortunately, in Southern Europe there are plenty of convivial open-air spaces (café tables) available - but don't get me on a David Hockney-style rant here, please? ;-)
