Everyone's body is different in the degree of efficiency with which they process that matter. You and I can eat the same foods in the same amounts every day, and my body may choose to store more of that food than yours does, but that doesn't change the basic fact. If I eat fewer calories than I burn every day, I will lose weight.

It's a basic law of thermodynamics. Matter can neither be created nor destroyed. Since your body cannot create matter, if you take in less than you use, you will lose weight. Period.

How come you don't see any fat survivors in the pictures from the concentration camps at the end of WWII? Do you believe that none of the people in the camps were genetically predisposed to being fat?
