Seriously (sort of) Mr. H and I have one grandchild and we'll be dining at my brother in law's -- they, as they like to point out, have nine, courtesy of their blended family of 5 adult kids. They do wonder when my two kids are going to get on with it, but I am in no hurry.

Joshing my nephew over whether he and his wife have figured out yet how to turn off the baby machine is a lot more fun than spending the day stressing about politics and the economy. My BIL and sis in law know how to laugh in spite of their troubles, which is a gift.

My former son in law once told me how his uncle took a full-body dive across the table in anger at something another male relative said regarding politics. That's going a bit far, even for a wingnut family.

Happy Turkey Day, every one, and may you leave your troubles at the door.
