when he challenged her "Democrats took money from Abrahoff" accusation. He flatly denied it and Couric ended the standoff with "We'll look into it and get back with our viewers at a later date." So far she hasn't "gotten back with us" yet.
So I imagine the CBS Evening News will go something like this:
"Big story breaking out of the Middle East" (pause) "We'll get back with you on that..."
"Congressional Democrats call for investigations" (pause) "We'll get back with you on that..."
"More toys found to contain unacceptable levels of toxins" (pause) "We'll get back with you on that..."
"Valarie Plame moves ahead with civil suit against Bush Administration" (pause) "We'll get back with you on that..."
etc.
