Man charged with shooting goat over beer
Wednesday, November 21, 2007

A man has been arrested for allegedly opening fire on one of the animals because his spouse refused to bring him home beer.

The 48-year-old from Waupaca, Wisconsin, returned home from a hunting trip on Saturday, and was allegedly angry at his 22-year-old daughter for letting the family's two pet goats out.

While his daughter was on the phone to her mother, Mischler asked her to tell his wife to buy him some beer.

When his wife refused, Mischler allegedly threatened to shoot the goats.

After his wife returned home, she and her daughter heard four gunshots outside.

Mischler was later arrested that day at a local bar.
