How many here in GD, also post in GD-Politics?

I could count the number of times I have been there, on one hand, but I just went there, and y'know what? It looks JUST the same as GD..only meaner..

I long for the days immediately after GD-P was created. That was a blissful time, when posts were routinely moved there, and GD was not totally "cluttered" with venomous diatribes.

I KNOW we are a political website", but jeez-louise, I wish we could get all the specific threads where candidates are named/blamed/defamed, sent packing to GD-P.

When anyone dares to mention 911 or Israel or guns, those threads are banished to the "naughty-rooms" in the basement, before anyone can even reply, so why not do the same with the SPECIFIC threads?

We also have specific forums for all the individual candidates.

GD is being used as an auxiliary trash can, where gratuitous dumping is encouraged.

It reminds me of the "liberal media" meme.. the individual forums and GD_P are like Fox & the right wing media.. all bash-all the time

and GD (like the MSM) feels the need to be "fair", so all the crap is welcomed here too :eyes:

I took a 2 week (nearly) break from DU, and post less and less because of the vitriol, but I still love this place, so I wade through endless tripe to get to a nugget of "meat" every so often..

Anyone else feeling the pain too ?
