I think McCain.

A culture of fear has been soo groomed in our society that I'm not sure if a man like Obama could make Independents feel safe.

Notice how it has been relatively quiet as far as scary news from Iraq, or new threats of terrorism...anything that might jack up the level of fear in this country to want to make people gravitate to the perceived stronger party on matters of national defense (although that point is debatable at this juncture in our history)..Because when you boil it down, that's really all the republican party has going for it - FEAR. They have nothing else.

I expect them to use that card as well as race, playing to the worst in all of us to further destroy this country as we know it.

I like Edwards/Kucinich but I'll vote for any Democrat that wins the nomination. If Obama wins the nomination, I hope he's ready for the onslaught of fear and bigotry that will be coming down the pike.
