...and that's my point.

If she was attractive...even average-looking...the media wouldn't give her more than a passing glance. Her voice is good, but it's not THAT good.

The hype stems from the fact that the media found a physically unattractive person who sings beautifully.

That's the truth of the matter as I see it. If that offends you, so be it.
