The latest bit of nuttery from the pathetic guy who rightfully got his ass handed to him by an unknown Barack Obama in the 2004 U.S. Senate race:

"Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes has given perhaps his most dire warning yet, saying that the Obama administration is preparing to stage terror attacks, declare martial law and cancel the 2012 elections, which is why they are demonizing their political enemies as criminals and terrorists."

<...>

"“The minute they think they can get away with it, they will end this system of government and that is their intention,” added Keyes, noting that everyone acting as if the time we are in was just “business as usual” reminds him of the attitude of politicians in the Weimar Republic when Hitler was rising to power or eastern Europe when the Communists were taking over after the second world war."

Glowing coverage of Keyes' insane remarks comes to you via teamsarah.org, a blog dedicated to boosting the future of another of the GOP's bitter losers.

or as they put it in their "about us" section:

"Team Sarah was founded as a coalition of diverse women advancing the Sarah Palin candidacy and mobilizing voters for the McCain-Palin ticket.

There were a few kooks on the Left who said the same thing about Bush/Cheney and 2008, but the key difference here is that they were kept on the fringes, where they should have been.

Keyes is a prominent Republican. Sure, he may not garner much of a vote in the GOP primaries, but they still love him and put him out as one of their thinkers. He's a former Reagan official, had his own talk show and was recently the keynote speaker at the DC teabagging party.

Progressives strongly rejected such asinine talk.

The GOP is willing to put such dangerous rhetoric out and come just short of slapping an official stamp of approval on it.
