Steele insisted in an interview earlier today that "nobody could have predicted that winter would follow autumn!" Noting that this year's balmy autumn weather lasted well into October, Steele insisted that "nobody would have ever expected us to be experiencing sub-freezing temperatures a mere two months after the gorgeous weather we had on Halloween!" Steele brushed aside reporters' questions about the Farmer's Almanac, ridiculing the suggestion that anybody would consider it a serious source of information. "This is the 21st century in America. We don't look to the past. Just because winter has always followed autumn in the past is no reason to assume it would be the same this year!"
