I do believe that in lieu of single-payer mandated Health Insurance is a necessity, but I also believe that a Public Option is a necessity. I do NOT support a mandate without a Public Option. In fact, I don't think that outside of single-payer any reform will work without a PO.

I have read many posts that are against a mandate, and I assumed they were against the mandate even with a PO. I can agree that without a PO such a mandate would only be a give-away to Insurance Corporations, so maybe I misunderstood those posts. Which is what I would like to clarify with this poll.

(In lieu of a single-payer system) Do you support a Health Insurance mandate with or without a Public Option?

To be clear, I want a single-payer system but I don't think it can pass under present circumstances. Otherwise, I support a mandate with a PO, but not without a PO.

Thanks for playing!
