What Obama said today about abortion and health care

ABC news wouldn't let me cut and paste at all, so I typed out the most relevant parts. You can read the entire article at

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/abc-news-exclusive-obama-jobs-health-care-ft/story?id=9033559

Obama said:

"this is a health care bill, not an abortion bill"

"we're not looking to change what is the principle that has been in place for a very long time, which is federal dollars are not used to subsidize abortions"

"I want to make sure that the provision that emerges meets that test -- that we are not in some way sneaking in funding for abortions, but, on the other hand, that we're not restricting women's insurance choices."

No "sneaking in funding for abortions" but "not restricting women's insurance choices." :wtf:

Obama also talks about cuts in Medicare to fund this new program, says he will veto anything (meaning a final bill from the Senate) that tries to undo the Medicare cuts. Great news for seniors. :sarcasm:

Change you can believe in, but won't necessarily like.
