3. You mean it's not just as kewl
to hang out with John Ratzenberger or Lee Greenwood? Who woulda thunk? :eyes:

In a related vein, I was disappointed to learn that MST3K writer/actor Mike Nelson is a big conservative.

During a 2004 interview with the fansite MST3K Review, Nelson described himself as a Protestant and a conservative: "I read the National Review cover to cover. Check in at Townhall.com every day. Check the Washington Times daily. Listen to Dennis Prager and Michael Medved on a regular basis. Read Mark Steyn with regularity. Read the Weekly Standard. So, yes, I do vote Republican."<8> He later called Minneapolis Star Tribune as "the Star and Sickle, or the Red Star Tribune". He joked that he believed the devil "was behind American Beauty. And Pulp Fiction was one of his better works, too."

I'll concede that I believe the guy has talent - which I consider a rare commodity among conservatives - but his likability index took a nose dive after seeing his reading list & political inclinations.
