5. Nah, I don't think so.
He went to MSNBC after Fox because being a watchdog on the administration was OK with them when Clinton was in, but when Bush came in it was no longer permitted. You know, journalism--and he wanted to do journalism.

I think Shuster actually cares about the truth. But MSNBC has been underutilizing him lately, so perhaps he took a chance that he could do better at CNN and tried to find himself a new coop to fly to without anyone at the old coop finding out. It obviously didn't work.
