a-hole, despised touchy-feeling and PC "liberalism" and what they called CARTER's weakness and wimpiness. They loved the FAKE "toughness" of RAYGUN and therefore the BLUSTER of Shrub. Poppy BUSH was too wimpy for them, about as much as their perception of CARTER. In their old age, they would be horrifically unlikely to be attracted to civility, urbanity, and smoothness of OBAMA or ANY real Dem.

The only sincere part about them was that they *were* shocked, ASHAMED, and dismayed by the Iran hostage crisis and the shame and weakness they attributed to CARTER, but after that they hardened into just plain a-holes.
