How do we employ 30+ million people and save this country?

I almost see 3 parties - Democratic, Rpubs, and the Finance\Congress\Administration parties. That third one seems to be owned by Wall Street and insuring their success, which results in a funneling of the majority of the nation's wealth to a minority of people. The scraps are left for everyone else, which includes 20+ million unemployed today and millions more likely to be unemployed in the next year. States are unable to sustain their services and are likely to have deeper cuts as tax revenues continue to decline. We can tell people to go into nursing and medical tech, but if there are no taxes to pay for the hospitals, there will be no jobs. Finance used to serve as a vehicle for investing in business, but seems to no longer be in the business of building _this_ country.

We have to create wealth. The traditional way was innovation and manufacturing.

Can we revive those, do we need a different direction, or are we doomed?
