We NEED some serious BOYCOTT action, people...!

BP *IS* ARCO, Am/Pm, Aral, Castrol & Wild Bean Cafe

Just these brands are the top six ways we can make a dent in BP and make our voices heard. The greed and profits, lax safety guidelines, and blatant disregard for the environment needs to be brought into the DAYLIGHT!

Look, If these guys weren't showing commercials that make you fee all green & fuzzy that you are somehow using a gasoline that is *not* toxic to the planet...then the outrage may be a little bit lessened, not by much. I know we are all sick to death of having these chemicals dumped into our oceans and food supplies...and then being told it is some kind of necessary risk or evil because after all *you* drive a car, don't you?

Just because we have to make choices to use certain items to facilitate our daily lives, does NOT make us responsible for the safety of the workers & environment. THESE companies make far too much to be so irresponsible, and yet we all know that is exactly the point they use...if one of them fails, then the prices will go up and *we* will suffer... well no, I don't choose to buy into that.

I want these companies held accountable - and many of us can do a small part, choosing differently in small ways.

...here's some other items I found on BP in a few searches:

BP Brand/Organizational Structure/Board, etc http://www.bp.com/subsection.do?categoryId=4&contentId=2006741

Oil firms drop group lobbying for Climate Bill http://planetark.org/enviro-news/item/56767
("BP said it still supports the USCAP blueprint. which called for a cap-and-trade market, but it also said current legislation would penalize the petroleum industry.")

Financials from Hoover's with links to more info like SEC filings, etc.. http://www.hoovers.com/company/BP_plc/hxxkti-1-1njea5.html
