then the person whose identity was stolen could find him or herself facing jail time for back taxes.

Don't get me wrong, I truly empathize with those seeking a better life. I am completely against the new Arizona law. But sugarcoating some of the problems associated with illegal immigration such as identity theft, worker exploitation and/or making it seem like the taxes paid aren't canceled out by the services used (schools, emergency room care, etc.) isn't the answer either. Those in Washington need to get serious and have an HONEST discussion and find some real, fair solutions.
