7. Still the best concert I've ever seen, at Berkeley Community Theater...
...and I guess the reason is that nothing on Bob's CDs can even remotely prepare you for what the man was like on stage. From the minute he walked on to the minute he walked off, the band "flatlined" at ten on a ten scale. There were no peaks and valleys, no highs or lows. Bob grabbed you by the neck in the first 60 seconds and didn't let go for the next hour and a half. I've never seen such sustained intensity in my life. It didn't matter if the song was more of a "ballad," like "No Woman No Cry," or the thoroughly brutal "Get Up, Stand Up" that closed the show. Bob plugged in his guitar as well as HIMSELF...he connected, he exploded.

And there is no CD or DVD that adequately conveys what it was like to witness it in the flesh.
