I'll add this post here:

I have heard too many Palin speeches to completely retain my sanity at this point, and many of them have been so bad, that the word "bad" does not even adequately describe them.
From the speech she gave to introduce Mikael Reagan in the PAC in Anchorage, to her resignation speech backed up by the sound of loons on the corpse of Lake Lucille, to the famous "notes on her hand speech" delivered to the Teabaggers in Nashville, I have heard them all and they have all sucked.
But THIS one, this one may have to be defined using a new word made up just for the occasion.
<video here - It's 40 minutes long, so I certainly wouldn't ask anyone to watch the whole thing.>
First she starts off telling, I kid you not, "Redneck jokes". Only she cannot really tell them because she claims they simply describe her life, as if she can fool these poor ignorant people into believing that despite her multiple millions of dollars she still might just have a car transmission sitting in her bathtub.
She then moves on to making references to local sports teams in an effort to connect with an audience that came to hear her speak about her experiences parenting a child with Down's syndrome. I mean WTF?
Then there are references to oil spills, Todd's native heritage, the need for domestic drilling, and then she somehow tries to connect all of that back to the people who volunteer for places like Rainbow Omega, an organization that she is only speaking at because SHE WAS PAID TO SPEAK!
And as if these people had not suffered enough, Palin actually attempts to read a poem (Gee I wonder if IT will be in her new book?). After which she launches into telling the biggest, most outrageous, Sarah Palin lie of them all, the lie about learning that she was pregnant with Trig.
Of course there are lots of references to God, LOTS of references to God, before she trots out the entire pantheon representing HER personal mythology; her perfect children, Todd's Alaska cred as a worker on the North Slope and commercial fisherman, her ability to juggle her job as governor while caring for her family, their simple rustic lifestyle, all culminating in the birth of the most important Palin demi-god of all, Trig Paxon Van Palin. (By the way Sarah claims that she just did not know HOW to inform her family that Trig would be born with Down's syndrome, when in fact she did not even tell them she was having this baby until the day before she told the world, at which time she would have already been seven months along.)
At this point in the speech Palin tries to use the forum to slam what she derisively calls "Obama-care" and desperately attempts to convince her audience that the new health care plan will make it much more difficult for the special needs community to get services. She also trots out the Republican talking point that "government isn't the answer, government is the problem". Which demonstrates just how out of touch she is with her audience which, as parents of children with special needs, surely must rely on a number of government programs to help them care for their loved ones. (Without access to Medicaid funding many of the programs used by the special needs community would not even exist.)
I have found NO evidence that Palin "worked with the Autism community for over a decade" in case you were wondering. But this is the audience that she is addressing so that is the lie that she picks to tell.
I believe that THIS is the first of Palin's speeches that has been recorded in its entirety, and now we all know why. It is almost shockingly bad, and the idea that she is receiving money to spew such garbage in front of a paying audience would almost be comical if it was not so terribly, terribly sad.
I wonder if, now that more people can see her in action, there will be so many organizations interested in paying this woman to slaughter the English language and further her political aspirations on their dime? Personally I think we should send a link to this video to EVERYBODY who even hints that they are thinking of hiring her to speak.
