The efforts of Reagan to call regulation and Government the enemy and open the doors to the corporocrats and the greedy - brought to full bloom by BushCheney, are really showing....unsafe food, crumbling infrastructure, disregard for the environment, the horrendous oil spill raging in the Gulf....I was talking to my friend today about how the next 10-20 years could be a breathtaking ramping up of trouble everywhere. I know things have been bad at points of history in the past, but I just don't see a way out of the shit that we are heading for.....we don't seem, as a country, to have the social, intellectual or political will to reverse the damage that has been, and is being, done.....when will we (not just the DU-we, but in sufficient numbers) wake up and start truly turning things around, not just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic?

Obviously not feeling very hopeful tonight...sorry for the downer, but had to get it off my chest....the picture of zillions of dead fish in LA pushed me over the edge....
