10. First of all
I have long been for diversified sources of energy to transport us from one place to another, and the manufacture of products. When industries and politicians make deals to keep alternative sources out and keep oil as king, that is beyond my control.

In the Gulf we are in a situation that requires very specialized knowledge. If the government did not require these corporations to have contingency plans in place, then there is nothing much the government can do short of nationalizing BP and taking control of their knowledgable employees.

The government cannot maintain employees capable of solving every potential problem that could occur when technology goes wrong.
If Obama were to declare BP the property og the US government - could you imagine the reaction from the people and Congress? He will be cut off at the knees.

I am not going to yell at myself. But I will yell at the bush administration that castrated the regulatory agencies in this country, planted career toads that would be in place for the next administration, and everyone who places profits above all else.
