You think flipping off an equally powerful voting block, calling them all bigots, and saying FU I'm doing this myself (outside of congress, the courts, and the military) won't get him a one way ticket out of office? To be replaced by those who don't just not give a shit, but use not giving a shit as something to campaign on. It looks like he's making progress on the repeal of DADT, and from what I understand that's the crown jewel.
