I don't completely understand why some people are terrified

of allowing pilots to fly until they're 65.

Yea I know the risk of medical problems theoretically increase with age.

However, there is a co-pilot who can absolutely land the plane on his/her own IF the "flying" pilot has a major medical emergency.

And what are the odds both pilots will have a medical emergency at the same time.

The more experience on the flight deck, the better I say!
