So for the endless hours of shouting, prognosticating, predictions of unprecedented upheaval, and thoughts of basically the end of the political world as we know it, it looks like we will end up just about where mid-term elections end up. The party in power suffers deep but not fatal losses, the other party claims victory and a new world order, a lot of blabbing goes on and then, in a few days, business continues as usual.

It will be interesting to see how the new power structure sorts out. How will Obama play it? Will the Democratic Senate have the guts to change the rules(doubtful)? Will the House do anything productive or will the nuts gain control and try and impeach Obama.

Too bad about losing the House though. The Democratic House passed a lot of good legislation but the useless Senate did what the Senate is best at: not much.

The games will continue folks. Not much will change and the 2012 race will start in a couple of days.
