I rewatched RECOUNT on HBO last night

I couldn't watch Rubio's acceptance speech (plus they interrupted Dancing with the Stars to show that twit). I couldn't watch another great Dem lose. So, I decided to watch how it all began. Right here in Palm Beach County. The woman they had play Teresa LePore was uncanny (albeit a little skinnier) and Judge Burton and Carol Roberts (still love her) were almost identical to their counterparts. Laura Dern deserves all the praise she got for playing Cruella DeVil, but she made her more likeable. Harris was not likeable at all. I remember it very well.

Favorite scene - had to be the Miami Canvassing Board scene. Those "kids" were not at all members of the Miami-Dade public, but they sure tried their best to stop the vote counts. The blonde woman who was so scary looking trying to intimidate the Gore attorney really made me angry. Again, I remember this so well.

The media is to blame for all of this mess. All of it. They are lazy. I see it here at my station. I'm sick to death of all of this. When the media doesn't do their jobs, we get people like George Bush, Marco Rubio and Rick Scott. Everyday there should have been a ticker or a timer stating that it is day 50 since Rick Scott didn't talk to the media. Instead people here would just allow him to spew garbage on the trail and let him take the 5th on everything else. Something has to be done, but sadly we will never have a free press again. :(
