He gave in not only on tax cuts for the uber wealthy, but the estate tax waivers (and since when was that part of the discussion). Nothing for tier 5 99ers.

This was his last chance with both houses to get something progressive done.

Like someone else said here, I think he had daddy issues and just wants the Republicans to like him. Screw his base and what is best for this country, our debt and our deficit. Hell, even Warren Buffett has been lamenting the nonsensical low tax rates for 'his bracket' for a decade.
