I've been thinking about replacing my 4-5 year old Dell MP3 player with something a little less clunky, and I wouldn't mind replacing my old cell phone with one that has Internet capabilities, but I can wait until prices come down or someone comes up with a New and Even Better product. I'll probably walk down to the local Apple store on the 30th or so - after the feeding frenzy dies down - and take a look at one. Speaking of which, every time I walk past the place and see all the empty space I can't help thinking about what kind of profit margins Apple must have to cover the cost of all that rent!

To the OP: if Jesus himself were indeed issuing this device he'd probably do a loaves-and-fishes thing and there would be more than enough to go around!

I expect the iPhone will be like Apple's Newton. It was a good idea, and in many ways technologically superior to the initial Palm product, but just quirky enough that it ended up only appealing to the Apple faithful.
