"Poor Scooter Libby?"

The Blog: James Boyce

I am shocked and awed.I just cannot get over what the "Republican strategists" say on TV and I fear that sometimes people believe them. Today on MSNBC, my Republican counterpart not only said that "the prosecutor found no crime" which seems odd because I'm fairly sure there was a trial and a conviction on four of five counts but then it got worse because she said: "poor Scooter Libby?"

Scooter Libby is a convicted felon who is going to jail. He lied to the FBI and perjured himself and obstructed justice.

"Poor Scooter Libby?" What about Valerie Plame? What about her career? What about our military men and women in harm's way? What about Joe Wilson who was smeared and defamed? And their children? And friends? What about the jurors who gave their time? What about the cost of the trial? What about all that?

Scooter Libby is a convicted felon. He is going to jail. It's where he deserves to be. I hope he rots there.

NOT MORE, THAT'S THE WHOLE POST
