10. so DID Palin or McCain or whoever REALLY draw 60,000 @ that rally in Florida?
This was being discussed last week, but I never found out if it was true or just their perpetual exaggeration.

Was with old friends this weekend and one of the guys was chuckling about Sarah's big crowd...as if that was sealing the deal on this election..
I had to laugh at his little nudge nudge wink wink comments, like "I KNOW everyone at this table is voting for McCain because I am" because he had not yet seen my car and had conveniently forgotten that I was always a Democrat. Despite being a generally good guy and quite a bit of fun, he did have this arrogant streak that he never grew out of.

LOL he even asked the table if we thought history would be kinder to George Bush after some time had passed. I nearly choked on my tea. (His wife was my roommate and best friend for the whole time we were in college; she and I always held opposite political views and just didn't talk about it much.) She did remember eventually, but I just had to let him run on and laugh. I did say "Worst president ever, I don't think so!"

he also ran off into a tirade about Obama being against school choice but putting his kids in private schools. I just mentally let my jaw drop on that one. Too much wasted energy to argue when the focus of the weekend was a reunion.

By the way we had fun, it was a college reunion and for the most part we were catching up on kids, jobs, other friends/sorority sisters who did not attend, etc.
