20. Hmm. Interesting thread.
I spent the weekend going over the local absentee ballot with my daughter, who is voting for the first time in a general election. I know how she voted, because she chose to tell me. I also chose to tell her how I was voting. There are two races in which we may be voting differently.

It would never have occurred to me to cut off her tuition - even if (Cringe) she had decided to vote for McCain. I might have tried to talk her out of it - but ultimately it's her choice. I am thrilled that she took the initiative to register to vote last March so she could vote in the primary at age 17. I was thrilled that she requested a absentee ballot. I was thrilled when she asked me to help her find out more information about a candidate I hadn't even considered voting for.
