i mean that the parents could require the kids to apply for/vote absentee if they wanted a tuition check- for instance in your case it could mean having your son fill out his absentee ballot, sign it, and send it to YOU to check before you send a tuition check(not to imply that you would- just an example of what i meant).
absentee ballot rules vary widely from state to state- and in oregon EVERYONE votes by mail- which seems like it would make it very easy for domineering parents/spouses to force their will and in effect get multiple votes for themselves.
