In truth, it's my belief that communism was never actually tried. Russians adapted the philosophy and very quickly turned it into a perverted dictatorship.

I'm not sure that the human species is capable of living by any defined or established philosophy. Our very natures seem to make us self-destructive regardless of whatever social system is put in place.
