Helen has been a friend of my family for over 40 years, and it is still a privilege to
meet with her every time we make back to DC. She is looking back to her old self, I see, which pleases me to no end. She was pretty sick last year, and took a while to recover. She will be 89 this year, and is still as sharp as she was decades ago. This pic has been seen before on DU, and doesn't have as picturesque a background, but this was one with my younger daughter, my wife and myself at one of her favorite breakfast spots near the White House in 2007:  |
