That was one of the many reasons why I worked hard against him in 2000. I was in college then and saw it clearly what they were wanting to do. Many of us saw right then that he and his cronies would do everything they could to plunge the nation into chaos to make sure they could do whatever they wanted.
The scary thing is, we probably haven't even scratched the surface of the damage that was done.
