Last week 3 vials of deadly virus went missing...

I'm just wondering if this is an unrelated, yet bizarre coincidence. We currently have a flu
outbreak, and just last Wednesday (4/22) CNN reported that 3 vials of a deadly virus are missing from a research
facility at Ft. Detrick.

Quote from the article: "The vials contained samples of Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis, a virus that sickens horses and can be spread to humans by mosquitoes. In 97 percent of cases, humans with the virus suffer flu-like symptoms, but it can be deadly in about 1 out of 100 cases, according to Caree Vander Linden, a spokeswoman for the Army's Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases. There is an effective vaccine for the disease and there hasn't been an outbreak in the United States since 1971." More at link: http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/04/22/missing.virus.sample/index.html

I'm not saying this is related, but these two events happening within the span of a few days, is strange.

I'm not a epidemiologist--and I know that the missing virus is related to horses and the current outbreak in Mexico is the Swine Flu.

Just thought I'd throw this out there and see if anyone had an opinion.
