4. Never met a "born again" that wasn't full of hate and smiles
It's the Calvinism in the mix. John Calvin loved torture and killing and justified everything using his fundamentalist teachings.

The fact that he was sincere and "seemed very nice" made little difference.

The ability to justify everything using Jewish scripture does not a Christian make.

I have met two sincere Disciples of Christ in my entire life, neither called themselves Christian.

This is not a broad brush, but based on every fanatic I have ever met that called themselves Christian while following the cherry picked old testament over Christ's teaching every time.

You may not like the fact that we remember our encounters and you may choose to dismiss our experiences, but if you are different you are sooooo in the minority and shouldn't rationalize the hate of your brethren by claiming our lying eyes and ears don't know what they have seen and heard.

Nothing personal, but nasty teachings breed nasty people, the smiley veneer and use of the word Christ on the cover simply does not change that.
