DUers in Heavily Red Areas/States - Do you ever fear for your lives?

I've always wondered this - I'm not really talking about Austin or Raleigh, or even Orlando. I am talking about those who live in rural areas, or states like Mississippi.

Yes I know you can have small pockets of liberalism out there, but just look at how the folks vote out there! You can't say there's not a danger - in these times.
