44. Actually, that may be doable.
I'm no computer expert either, especially when it comes to the internet.

But I believe when you send an e-mail it bounces off of several servers en route, kind of like the Green Acres telephone network. It is like what you get when you do a trace. I think most of these servers record everything that passes through their hands.

If so, it should be possible to show the route they took to get to their destination and also the IP address of the computer of origin. This is why one member of congress, and I don't remember who it was, said that you can't just erase e-mails, they leave their footprints all over the internet.
