If you think putting teabagger types down...especially the older ones who are very set in their ways...is going to change the world, then be my guest.

It's interesting how steadfastly you want to play the ageism card here...accusing me of believing that older people are stupid.


I know plenty of older people who are anything BUT stupid, believe me.


But it's totally ridiculous and ignorant to think that someone 60 years old is too young to be suffering from some brain disorder.

Don't blame me for pointing this out...I'm just the messenger here. Personally, I think people want to justify their actions by vilifying the person who won't let them get away with assuming everyone has the same mental abilities they do.

I have a sister (56) who has a cognitive disorder from childhood. She doesn't always make sense. She often says, and does, some very inappropriate things, but it's part of her problem. What makes you, or the OP, so sure that pointing out the "facts" will do anything to change her mind?

How can you tell whether or not someone might have a cognitive disorder? You can't. So keep on running around slapping verbal beatdowns on people who just might be suffering from something you can't see. You probably won't change that person's mind, but what the hell. At least you got to blow off some steam on someone else, even if the person DID start the conversation first.
