primarily concern "The working American" before "the super-rich and investor classes."
That is, there are "democratic" legislators who would have fit in nicely with the moderate republicans of the 1970s.
I don't think we need to "foam at the mouth" about the GOP - they are digging their own graves ...
IF ONLY WE'D STAND FOR SOMETHING PROGRESSIVE? If not, people will switch over and vote republican.
Why? We don't stand for anything save for a softer version of corporatism. :(
